Bentley Thompson, Director GPR ServicesMr. Bentley Thompson is a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Specialist for Metals & Materials Engineers, Engineering Sciences Division. His areas of expertise include the use of GPR in nondestructive testing, geophysical explorations, and civil engineering applications; computer networking, and technical instruction.

Prior to his association with MME, Mr. Thompson conducted research on the bauxite by-product, “red mud,” on a  project jointly sponsored by the University of the West Indies and the International Development Research Center (Canada). He has also taught college physics at the College of the Bahamas for more than a decade.

Mr. Thompson has conducted and managed several GPR projects to solve a wide range of problems, including water leak detection, buried utility location, subsurface feature studies, concrete evaluation, both locally and overseas. He is also an avid information technology specialist.
