MME Case Studies:  Geophysical Explorations with GPR

Previous Page

GPR can detect buried metallic and non-metallic targets, such as underground storage tanks and subsurface cavities. In some cases, our clients may require the use of other specific techniques to provide preliminary results.

At an abandoned waste site in West Georgia, our GPR team used an EM-61 electromagnetic detector to scout for buried metal drums and other similar targets.

A GPR mapping was done over the area. It helped to show the areas of concentration of the target objects thus providing information necessary to launch environmental cleanup operations at the site.
