Mr. Lowrie is a Senior Engineer with MME in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Division and Director of its Alabama operations.  Mr. Lowrie has 14 years experience in NDT, metallurgy, materials testing, corrosion testing, and failure analysis.  He is an active member of ASTM International, ASM International, NACE International, Water Environment Federation, and American Water Works Association.  He is a licensed professional engineer in the States of Virginia, Georgia, California, Maryland, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Mr. Lowrie’s materials testing (mechanical and Non-Destructive) expertise spans the nuclear, transportation (rail, aviation, automotive) and general manufacturing industries.  From component testing of pump housings to sheet steel, and large-scale investigations of automobiles to busses and trains, Mr. Lowrie has performed hundreds of materials testing and Non-Destructive Testing projects during his career.
